Turning Interest Into Action

Club R.E.S.T.O.R.E. was founded on August 11, 2011 by Kendra K. Pruitt before she began her second year of of law school. Kendra recognized the importance of education and mentorship and its role in helping her achieve the success she was experiencing. Accordingly, she wanted to do more for her community of Newport and the students there. Although she was in school at the time, she created this platform to do whatever she could for Newport youth.

Kendra carefully considered the name of this organization so that it adequately encompassed what she hoped to achieve - bringing communities to a state of soundness and success by combining our efforts to reach our youth. "Club" is a group or association of people with common aims or interests. "Restore" is to bring back to a state of health, soundness, or vigor. R.E.S.T.O.R.E. is an acronym for Reaching and Empowering Students To Overcome Restraints and Excel. Therefore, Club R.E.S.T.O.R.E. was born!

Club R.E.S.T.O.R.E. seeks to improve the quality of life and change the dynamic of rural and underserved communities by empowering students of all ages with the tools for success, giving them hope and a future, by implementing various outreach programs and activities, providing proper role models, creating unique opportunities, developing long-lasting relationships, and offering the necessary training and motivation for its participants; thereby, propelling them to become well-educated, positive, contributing members of society.

Here at Club R.E.S.T.O.R.E., we are driven by our many goals, but ultimately, we strive to do our part in making the world a better place for and through our youth.

We are striving to positively impact communities. Join us!
